I’ve got a little “zombie fever” with season 2 of The Walking Dead having started up last fall. If you haven’t watched that show you’re really missing out on some excellent quality programming for a channel that’s available to most cable packages. I decided to give my Fantasy TED Talk a go with a rather young zombie teaching about effective diet balancing. The young undead are our future innovators in this space! Thanks once again to Ben Rimes for not only creating this awesome assignment but providing the perfect Photoshop template to get folks started!

So, is this a food pyramid, or a hierarchy of nutrition? One would denote that brains should only be eaten on special occasions, while the other would put them at the pinnacle of nutritious value.
Either way, this is great! I didn’t think the Fantasy TED talks would go over so well, but I’m really enjoying what everyone is doing with these! Would be humorous to bust them out into their own blog and have them running all year long parallel to the actual TED talks. Glad to see that Sir Ken Robinson has the zombie vote for putting an emphasis on brains over muscle power

So clever. I love it. I’ve been infected by this assignment, I think about it all the time. Great work, Tim!

You eat your bones young zombie or so help me, I’ll have you shot in the head!
I have to do one of these. @Giulia loved your five point palm technique as well!
@Ben I didn’t realize you were the source of this awesome assignment. Kudos!

How does season 2 stand up against season 1 of The Walking Dead?
By Tim January 14, 2012 - 11:13 pm
It’s a little slower. Obviously they packed a lot of action into a few episodes to sell the show the first season and now they have the benefit of drawing the story out across a full set so it feels a bit slow at times, but I’ll be damned if I’m not enjoying it. Ready for them to start back up (February I think?)!

Sounds a lot like how they sold the Battlestar reboot, a lot of action in the first season, then space opera for the following seasons.
